Dear Editor:
Thanks WabiSabi. We are two of the myriad of happy people who ate a delicious meal at the annual WabiSabi Thanksgiving Meal on Thursday, Nov. 22. This event exemplifies why Moab is a special place to live.
The community meal is planned and given by WabiSabi, a local nonprofit, and made possible by hundreds of hours of volunteer time. Everyone is invited and everyone is welcome; and it sure looked like everyone was there. Every few minutes we were saying “Hi” to another old or new friend.
This inclusive, wholesome and friendly event makes us proud of Moab. We sincerely hope the good folks at WabiSabi will continue this annual neighborly tradition. If not, somehow someone else needs to step up to the plate to preserve this bit of Moab.
