Grand County Hospice is hosting its third annual Death Over Dinner outreach event next week to celebrate National Hospice and Palliative Care Month.
The Death Over Dinner event is inspired by and connected to a larger national movement, “Let’s Have Dinner and Talk About Death,” that aims to help individuals become more comfortable addressing death and dying with their loved ones.
The dinner table is the key to creating a safe and familiar space to facilitate these tough discussions. Death Over Dinner will be held on Friday, Nov. 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Seekhaven Chapel.
Moonflower Community Cooperative is donating the dinner.
A donation of $30 is suggested to support Grand County Hospice in its mission to provide compassionate end-of-life care. The donation is not required and should not prevent anyone from attending.
For more information, or to RSVP by Friday, Nov. 10, contact Grand County Hospice Director Jessica Walsh at 435-719-3772. To learn more about Death Over Dinner, visit: www.deathoverdinner.org, and for more information about Grand County Hospice, go to: www.mrhmoab.org/grand-county-hospice.
