Norma Bethers Hatch, June 5, 1922 – October 23, 2017

Norma Bethers Hatch, 95, passed away on October 23, 2017, at the Canyonlands Care Center.

Norma was born June 5, 1922, in Provo, Utah, to Frank and Mary Ettie Carter. She grew up in the Provo area and helped out with her family. On July 21, 1939, she married Dorr Murrell Hatch in Provo. She loved to crochet and treat many with special gifts with her talents. Norma was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a great love for others and always helped out when she could. She was always taking someone under her wing and getting them through rough times.

Most people did not have much opportunity to know Norma well but those who did knew of her great sense of humor and her quick wit, and her deep compassion. She was not big of body but her heart was huge. She will be greatly missed – and we know she is happy to be “home.”

She is survived by a son, Dorr (Gloria) Hatch Jr. of Castle Valley; and a daughter, Saundra Hatch Parry of Moab. She had grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren too numerous to count.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2014, and eight brothers and sisters.

At Norma’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.SpanishValleyMortuary.com.
