Helen M. Knight Elementary’s Mayor-picked Student of the Month for October is Jason McKinney. He is a sixth-grade student in Mrs. Cheryl Jenkinson’s class.
Jason is the son of Jill McKinney. This is also the fifth year in a row that Jason has been nominated to be Student of the Month.
Jenkinson said that Jason is very hardworking, responsible, respectful and intelligent.
“While his enthusiasm and cheerfulness are so contagious, it is his kindness to others and his curiosity that are Jason’s most admirable qualities,” she said. “Because he has so many positive traits, he is truly an excellent role model for others and an inspirational leader for all.”
