Threcia Lenamond, November 29, 1937 – September 17, 2017

Threcia Lenamond, 79, passed away on September 17, 2017, at Moab Regional Hospital.

Threcia was born November 29, 1937, in Turkey, Texas, to Clarence and Alsie Hawkins Browning. She was a household engineer for the majority of her life. She loved to sew and was an expert seamstress. She hand made all of her family’s clothing and the Drill Team’s outfits while her daughter was in it. She loved to fish and always outfished all who went fishing with her. She also knitted and made things for all of her loved ones. She was a leader of the Girl Scouts during her daughter’s time in the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed passing on her love of the outdoors and her love of crafting with the Girl Scouts of that time. She enjoyed the outdoors. Threcia and Charles spent all their spare time camping, fishing and exploring all of southeastern Utah together. Then she got rheumatoid arthritis and eventually ended up bed-ridden for the last years of her life. She spent the last 11 1/2 months in the Canyonlands Care Center, where she received excellent care. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Houston Browning and Alsie Lee Browning, and her husband Charles Edward Lenamond.

She is survived by her children: Lesa Lenamond Tuhy (Dale) and Cynthia Kim Lenamond; siblings Wanda Browning Jacobs, JoeBob Browning (Betty), Sherri Browning Wilmoth (Charley), Fern Browning Gurley (Bill), Yuma (Judy Browning) Michaels, Mike Browning (Brenda); and grandson Charles Matthew Lenamond.

At Threcia’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
