Barbara Parmenter, 81, of Moab, Utah, passed away on April 8, 2017, after a long struggle with cancer.

Barbara was born in Olathe, Colorado, on December 14, 1935.

Barbara was married to Bill Parmenter on March 4, 1954; they were married for 63 years.

Barbara worked as a housewife, a mother, a cook for Pack Creek Ranch and cooked for many

friends and family. She enjoyed cooking, going to the desert, fishing and camping.

Barbara is survived by Kathryn Velvick, Peggy Parmenter, David Parmenter; five grandkids and five great-grandkids and other family.

Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Brownfield; her daughter, Sherry Green; and her son, Danny Parmenter.

Barb loved adventure and Moab was the perfect place to explore, fish and camp with her family. Her love for cooking was appreciated by all who had the privilege to be a guest in her home. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. She will never be forgotten.

At Barbara’s request, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
