To the Editor:
We just returned to our respective homes in Manhattan and Nantucket after our 15th Canyonlands Half Marathon and Five Mile Run. Once again, the race, the course and the natural beauty did not disappoint!
Everything – from the meticulously organized races, the aid stations manned by enthusiastic and encouraging volunteers, the dynamic drummers, and the finish line celebration complete with the phantasmically attired and musically gifted band – made it an event we will all remember. And all of us now comprise 12 to 15 people who make the trek from the East Coast to visit annually.
Kudos to Ranna Bieschke of Moab Half Marathon, Inc. and to the wonderful volunteers and residents of Moab. We can’t wait to return.
