Diane Child

Diane Child, our beautiful, fun-loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend, lost her battle with ovarian cancer on February 15, 2017.

Diane was raised in South Ogden and graduated from Bonneville High School.

She worked at Winchell’s Donuts, Boise Cascade and Alliant Tech (formerly Hercules). In the late 1990s, Diane played in a golf tournament in Moab, fell in love with the town and bought a second home there.

In 2001, a friend offered her a job with her Moab real-estate company and Di quit her job and followed her heart to Moab, where she resided until her passing. While in Moab, she started her own businesses Skyline Storage and “Clear Water Revival,” maintaining pools and spas. She quickly became an integral part of the Moab community and “volunteer extraordinaire,” most notably several years for the Moab Folk Festival.

She loved traveling, snorkeling, biking, hiking and the desert beauty of Moab. She was the best sister and friend that anyone could ever have and she left her mark on all she touched. We will miss her terribly.

She is survived by her mother Lou Ann Child; sisters Sherrie Branz and Kathleen (Kathi) Child; one nephew; two great-nephews and one great-niece; too many friends to name; her cat Grechen and donkeys Eeyore and Gracie.

A special thanks to those friends who helped her through her last days.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at her home on Sunday, March 5, with an open house between 1 and 3 p.m. Friends and family welcome.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the humane society.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.SpanishValleyMortuary.com.
