Carolyn Sue Thomas, 78, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017, at Canyonlands Care Center.
Carolyn was born on February 21, 1938, to William and Nellie Knippers Weeks in Beaumont, Texas. She grew up in Texas, graduating from high school in Beaumont. After high school, she married Robert Edward McClure, who was in the Army, and moved with him to Germany while he served. They got divorced and about four years later and she moved back to Texas. She later married Roger Earl Puckett, and lived in Texas. They later divorced and she then married Patrick Thomas in Texas. She later moved to Utah to be with family, and moved to Moab in about 2006 to be with her children.
She loved bowling, gardening and working at Desert Dreams Gift Shop. Her greatest love was her children and spending time with them.
She is survived by two daughters, Amber Leigh (Vick) Sargent, Kimberly Sue Edwards; a son William Edward Puckett; six grandchildren and one great-grandson; and a sister, Sandra Kay Allen.
She was preceded in death by two of her husbands, Robert McClure and Patrick Thomas; and a sister, Delores Jean Weeks.
At Carolyn’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.
