Judith Elnora Holyoak, 75, passed away on October 17, 2016, at her home peacefully surrounded by her family. She has gone to be with her Heavenly Father.
Judy was born on June 25, 1941, in Park City, Utah, to Donald and Mabel Weierman. She graduated from Monticello High School. After high school, she attended college and got her business degree. She met and later married Glen Clayton Holyoak on April 4, 1962, in Moab. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Judy made many lifetime friends through church, work and hobbies.
Judy loved traveling, especially to Hawaii and Jazz games. She enjoyed scrapbooking, crocheting, gardening and bowling. Her greatest love was being with her family and giving service to others. She served in the LDS church, with calling as a nursery leader and librarian, and in the Relief Society Presidency.
She is survived by her husband Glen of Moab; three daughters, Susan (Tome) Johnson, Carol (Obie) Hilgenfeld, both of Moab, and Janet Holyoak of Salt Lake City; son Jim (Bobbi) Holyoak of Moab; sister Luana (Mike) Juenger, brother Dave (Sue)Weierman. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Gary and Charlie Weierman.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 21, at 11 a.m. at the Moab LDS 400 North Chapel. There will be a gathering of friends and family on Thursday, October 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment will follow the services at Grand Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Rosehill Hospitality House in Grand Junction, Colorado.
