Moab Music Festival Coordinator Erin Groves (left), BEACON Moab Strings Director Nanci Flesher, BEACON Afterschool Program Director Edith Sage and Moab Music Festival Executive Director Laura Brown gathered last month as the festival gave BEACON $1,700 from its Winterlude benefit concert in March. The festival raised the funds through suggested donations at the door from nearly 270 attendees. All funds will cover ongoing teacher training this summer for two BEACON Moab Strings teachers through a two-week graduate-level strings education course at Brigham Young University.
