Davyn Hickman, age 5, planted a pinwheel on Friday, April 1, at the Family Support Center’s fourth-annual Pinwheels for Prevention at the Children’s Garden, in front of the Grand County Courthouse. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Family Support Center Director Sherilyn Sowell said that the pinwheels “symbolize the innocence of childhood and the bright, happy future every child deserves.”
