High school mountain-bike racers from across the state competed at the Bar-M area trails on Saturday, Sept. 26, during a Utah High School Cycling League race.
The Moab Red Devils Mountain Biking team hosted the third race of the year in the Utah High School Cycling League, placing fifth out of 14 teams in the 2A division.
More than 1,300 racers competed across four divisions: 1A, 1B, 2A and 2B. Among the top Red Devil finishers were Caden Kirks, who placed second in the boys 2A freshman race; Brityn Ballard, who placed sixth in the girls division 2 JV race; Heather Sweeney, who placed 12th in the girls division 2 JV race; River Murdock, who placed 15th in the boys division 2A JV race; and Bjorn Nicoliasen, who placed 18th in the boys division 2A varsity race.
