Miguel Gonzalez is Helen M. Knight Elementary’s Mayor Student of the Month for May.
Miguel is a student in Mrs. Buffy Camps’ sixth-grade class.
Camps said that Miguel has worked very hard this year and has been driven to do a good job in all of his tasks.
“He has gone out of his way to assist others in our classroom and throughout the building,” she said. “He is always willing to use his ability to speak fluently in two languages to help others with communication barriers. I appreciate his amazing attitude and the smile he shares with all around him. Miguel is an asset to our community.”
