Beverly Kathleen Weigandt passed away on March 21, 2015, in Moab, Utah. She was born January 2, 1935, in Portland, Oregon, to Eva and Terry Rowe. She raised her two children, Diane Jensen and Randy Weigandt, in the Portland-Milwaukie, Oregon, area. Beverly also had over a 34 year working career in Milwaukie.
In 2009, Beverly joined her daughter, Diane and grandsons, Michael and Jason, in their La Sal, Utah, home. It was in La Sal that Beverly met her dear friends at the La Sal Senior Center. All of the senior center friends in La Sal welcomed her with friendship and laughter.
After the death of her daughter, Diane Jensen, in 2013, Beverly relocated to Moab, where she enjoyed decorating her own little apartment and venturing around Moab with her dear friend, Merline. Joyful giggles and laughter for all! Yes, thrift store shopping is a wonderful hobby! Most recently, Beverly resided at Canyonlands Care Center, where she received care and love until her passing.
Beverly was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Jensen. She is survived by her son, Randy Weigandt; her grandchildren, Heather, Jason, Tyler and Michael; and several great-grandchildren.
As Beverly often requested, keep your hummingbird feeder full throughout the season and sing or hum one of her favorite songs, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
In honor of Beverly’s request, no memorial service will be held. Her interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Portland, Oregon. She rests in peace and is deeply missed and loved by many.
