Dear Editor:
As a business dependent on recreation and tourism, Moab Cyclery has experienced good, steady growth for the better part of the last decade. That growth looked to be threatened last year when the Grand County Council opposed a Master Leasing Plan for the area. Fortunately, last week Elizabeth Tubbs and the rest of the new county council voted in favor of a Master Leasing Plan. The future now looks much rosier for my business, as well as for other local businesses. The MLP will allow outdoor recreation and the businesses that depend on it to thrive, while promoting a balanced approach to energy development. This is an approach that all local businesses can get behind. Thanks to the Grand County Council, Moab will have a prosperous and diverse local economy.
