Dorothy Rose Holyoak Hagner, 75, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 2, 2014.

She was born on August 22, 1939 to Clarence Alma and Geniveve Redd Holyoak in Moab, Utah. She attended school and graduated from Grand County High School in 1957.

Dorothy then moved to Salt Lake City to continue her education at Excel Beauty School. She graduated from beauty school in 1957 then moved back to Moab and began working at Walker Beauty Shop, which she later purchased. In November of 1961, Dorothy married Richard McBeth and three years later gave birth to Doricca Lynn McBeth, who was the light of her life. Dorothy spent her life working as a beautician, which she truly loved.

After divorcing Richard, Dorothy married Johnny Hagner in February 1989. Shortly after, Dorothy retired from Pete & Co. and enjoyed being a loving companion and grandmother. Dorothy’s passion in life was her family, especially her grandsons and great grandson. She also enjoyed crocheting and attending grandkids’ sporting events and school programs. In 2008, Dorothy suffered a stroke, which led to further health complications.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Johnny Hagner; sister Louesa Pearce (Leonard); brother Rulon Holyoak (Millie); daughter Doricca Brewer (Curt); stepson Donald Hagner (Joanne); stepdaughter Desiree Sexton (Jeff); grandsons Christopher Brewer (Maggie), Michael Brewer, Austin Brewer, Nate Hagner, Aaron Hagner, Chase Sexton, Lacey Sexton; and great-grandson Easton Brewer.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Clarence Alma Holyoak and Benjamin Holyoak.

A funeral was held on Dec. 11, 2014 at the LDS Chapel on 400 North.
