Effective Friday, Aug. 1, former assistant fire chief Phillip Mosher has been promoted to chief of the Moab Fire Department. Mosher has worked for the fire department for 16 years, serving seven years as an administrative assistant, and one as the assistant fire chief/administrator. He is a certified emergency medical technician, Firefighter II, HAZMAT Technician, Instructor, Inspector and wild-land firefighter.
