Johnny Rawls, the Mississippi Soul Blues Man, will play his last night in town tonight, Wednesday, at Frankie D’s.
Rawls is a world renowned recording artist with 40 years experience in the industry. He has played with some of the biggest legends in the business, like ZZ Hill, Little Johnny Taylor, Joe Tex and the great O.V. Wright. Johnny’s many talents include vocalist, songwriter, guitarist, arranger and producer.
His body of work has been highly recognized by the industry and fans alike. He’s been on the cover of Living Blues Magazine, had multiple articles in publications worldwide, received the Critics Choice Award for Best Album of the Year three times from Living Blues, and been the recipient of many nominations and awards, including Best Soul Blues Album from the Blues Foundation.
He tours constantly to worldwide audiences, from Europe, Japan, and Australia to throughout the United States. The combination of Johnny’s smooth, soulful vocals; original music and polished entertainment factor guarantees a great night of dancing and music.
