Greetings, friends! It is I, Cosmo, your be-whiskered library ambassador, here with delightful news about an extraordinary event taking place on Friday, June 20, at 7 p.m. As part of our Color Our World Summer Reading Program, Grand County Public Library is honored to welcome the immensely talented Native American performer Nino Reyos to Star Hall.
Nino has traveled the world sharing music, storytelling and dance, delighting audiences with these art forms from his Ute heritage. Some of you might have already experienced his artistry and talent from his previous visits to our fair city.
Not only will we get to hear colorful stories and beautiful music, Nino has said he’d like to invite us to join him in learning some of his ancestral dances. It’ll be a chance to move, to feel, and be part of something bigger than ourselves.
And, as with all library events, this cultural extravaganza is absolutely free! Tributes of tuna and catnip are never required for admission to any events organized by the library.
This special evening is a gift to the community, made possible by the generous support of the Utah Division of Arts and Museums’ Living Folk Arts program. These unsung heroes are ensuring that the vibrant traditions of our region thrive and flourish.
This is a celebration you won’t want to miss, so gather your friends, bring your family, and prepare for an evening of festivity and community. Until then, keep those noses in books and those hearts open to adventure.
