August 10, 1976 – April 19, 2025
It is with great pain and sorrow that we announce the passing of Jennifer Anne Rodocker, who died at 4:44 p.m. on April 19, 2025.
Jennifer was born on August 10, 1976, at the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. She was born to her mother, Kay Frances Knouff, and her father, Charlie Clint Rodocker.
She moved from Sacramento to Texas during childhood until her family finally settled in Moab, where she graduated from Grand County High School. Jennifer made many lifelong friends during this time and went on so many exciting, wonderful adventures.
In her 20s, she had her first daughter, Ayden. Later on, Jennifer would end up falling for and marrying the boy who lived down the street when she was growing up, a.k.a the boy next door: Dylan Beck. They would have a son together and raise a wonderful family.
You might know Jennifer from her many years working at Woody’s Tavern, where everyone who knew her would tell you how amazing she was. Not just a kind person but strong and full of wit, her energy touched many.
Jennifer was the embodiment of a selfless person. Even if you didn’t know her, you could feel this overwhelming sense of acceptance and light when in her presence. Her mother would tell you how while growing up what a wonderful and gentle child she was, never complaining, always so content. Jen would be kind to people no matter how they were towards her. If you needed something done, you could count on Jen. If you were going through a hard time, Jen knew just what to say to make you feel better. She always fought for what she believed in and for the people she met in her life.
Jennifer was, and will always be, a wonderful mother. She made sure her children felt loved and let them know that life isn’t always fair, but it’s how you choose to look at it that makes it all worth living. She was full of wisdom and grace.
Jen had a big heart that everyone would tell you was a gift, and in the end, it was the thing that took her from us. After being diagnosed with heart failure in 2020, she was given only six months to live, but she rarely listened to doctors or authority and decided to live life on her own terms. She was a fighter, living another five years. Regardless of the hand she was dealt, she kept her head held high, refusing to live as if she were sick. We will miss her strength and her love most of all.
Jennifer is survived by her children, Ayden Hill, Brecken Beck and Krystal Beck; mother, Kay Knouff; one grandchild, Tallulah Tippit; and her husband, Dylan Beck.
A memorial will be held on May 4, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Old City Park if you would like to come and celebrate her most extraordinary life with us. Please bring your own seating if needed and any photos or stories you may have.
