Track & Field: Eastern Utah Championships

The Grand County High School track & field team competed at the Eastern Utah Championship 2023, held on April 20 in Price. The Red Devils made excellent showing at this state-qualifying meet, with junior Cadence Kasprick taking first place in the women’s 1600m with a time of 5:12:27; Mia McKay took first place in the women’s 300m hurdles; and Aiden Gordon took first in both the men’s 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles.

Soccer Grand vs Carbon

The Red Devils soccer team triumphed against the Carbon County Dinos on April 18, redeeming their away game loss in Price in March. Final score was 4-2 with goals from seniors Michael Johnston and Kip Sevenoff and two from sophomore Rayce Walling.

Baseball Grand vs Richfield

On April 18, the Grand County High School baseball team played two games against the Richfield Wildcats, winning the first game 12-7 and coming short in the second with a score of 8-4.

Tennis: Grand vs Canyon View

The Grand County High School tennis team played at home against the Canyon View Falcons, winning 4-1 after 5 singles and 2 doubles matches. Later in the week, the team also triumphed against the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs and advanced to the Region 12 Tournament and possibly headed to the State Championships next week.
