James Ivan Winder of Moab, age 86, known to friends and family as Ivan, passed away on November 24, 2022, in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was born in Wellington, Utah, to Wallace Grant Winder, Sr. and Roxie Black Winder on April 26, 1936. He married Edith Corrine Tucker in Cleveland, Utah, in 1954. They later moved to Moab where they raised 3 children: Ginger (Thomas Haney), James Robert (Sue Graham), and Charles (Kathryn Thompson).    

Ivan owned an archery shop where he manufactured bows and archery equipment and later became a cabinet maker. He was an avid outdoorsman and professional archer. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors with his children, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

He is survived by his sister, Jaunita Atwood of St. George; and his children and grandchildren. 

At Ivan’s request, cremation has taken place and a private memorial will be held at a later date.
