Cosmo’s Corner: Musical Story Hour sings at the library

Hello everyone, this is Cosmo, the Library Cat! If you love beautiful music like I do, you’ve got to attend the library’s next Online Musical Story Hour. Our featured musical artists are Kara and Peter Dugan from New York City. Pianist Peter Dugan is the host of the NPR program “From the Top” and he has appeared as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician across North America and abroad. Award-winning mezzo-soprano Kara Dugan’s diverse career ranges from world premieres to baroque concert work, to cross-genre performances and art song recitals. Her work as a baroque concert soloist has taken her on three international tours. Together, Kara and Peter were recently featured on PBS Great Performances “Now Hear This.”

This Musical Story Hour will begin streaming on the library’s Facebook page on Saturday, April 17 at 10:30 a.m. Musical Story Hour is a partnership between the Moab Music Festival and Grand County Public Library.

Families are invited to pick up a free children’s activity bag to accompany this Musical Story Hour via curbside pickup at the library starting on Friday, April 16.

Can’t make it to the livestream on April 17? Don’t worry! A video recording will be available afterward for on-demand viewing on the library’s Facebook page.
