Grand County High School’s Speech and Debate Team started off its season competing at the University of Utah’s Beehive Bonanza on Oct. 4 and 5. Seniors Emma Millis and Ty Martinez both reached the finals in Congressional Debate. In Novice Informative, Junior Jack Charlton placed fourth, Freshman Elana Ross placed third, and Sophomore Chessadie Garfield placed second. They will host a Mock Congress fundraiser with the League of Women Voters on Nov. 4 at the MARC.

“The team looks forward to a great season,” a press release said.
