Judith “Judy” Carroll, Jan. 24, 1940 – Sept. 30, 2019

Judith “Judy” Carroll, formerly of Moab, passed away in her own bed in Port Charlotte, Florida, on Sept. 30, 2019. She was 79 years of age, though eternally youthful and vibrant of spirit.

Judy’s life was replete with adventure and with many chapters; the Moab chapter brought her and her daughter, April, to the area in 2004. Judy thrived in the quaint, friendly small-town atmosphere of Moab, where she enjoyed some of the best years of her life. She immersed herself in community activities, including volunteering for festivals and events, mentoring, producing the play Steel Magnolias, enjoying water aerobics classes, and promoting goodwill and kindness to everyone with whom she came in contact. She was also an avid supporter of KZMU and the Grand County Public Library. She reveled in awakening well before dawn and heading up to Park Place at Arches National Park to commune with nature at sunrise. Having ventured throughout the world in her past, she loved talking to Moab’s many international visitors, sharing their love for Moab and travel in general.

As Judy’s friends and family are scattered across the country and world, a memorial page at www.tributes.com/judys_wild_ride shall serve as her memorial service.
