Buckle up! Law enforcement partners for Click It or Ticket campaign

The national Click It or Ticket law enforcement campaign is underway from May 20 to June 2. Officers with the Moab City Police Department, Grand County Sheriff’s Office, San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, Utah Highway Patrol and Colorado State Patrol are partnering to enforce traffic safety among motorists who are seen not wearing their seat belts. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that there were 10,076 unbuckled passengers killed in crashes in 2017, and almost 57% of young adults (18 to 34) killed in crashes were completely unrestrained, while nearly 60% of pickup truck occupants who were killed were not buckled up.
