Police ask for public’s help identifying bike shop burglar

The Moab City Police Department recently shared this picture of a suspect described by Poison Spider Bicycles as “the rock carrying, door smashing, bike stealing guy” who allegedly burglarized the store around 2:30 a.m. April 9. The Moab City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 6 feet tall, with “longish” hair in the back and a narrow face. He was wearing aviator sunglasses, a Pearl Izumi jacket and long-fingered reflective gloves, and is “bowlegged with duck-like footing and an odd walking gait,” police said. Poison Spider Bicycles said the suspect allegedly attempted to leave the store with a bicycle, but left the bicycle when he realized it was missing its pedals.
