The City of Moab announced on Dec. 21 that it has hired Barry Ellison to join the city’s planning and zoning team as the new building inspector.

Effective immediately, the city said in a press release that all applications, plans, and other construction documents required for new building permits within city limits should be submitted to the Moab City Planning and Zoning Department for review and permit approval.

The Grand County Building Department continued to schedule inspections for all open permits through Dec. 31, 2018. Beginning Jan. 1, all inspections will now be done through the City of Moab.

All city inspections and permits to be handled by Ellison
