Proposals sought for Canyonlands mountain bike tour guides

Mountain bike tour guides may submit business proposals to the National Park Service (NPS) for the chance to be awarded contracts for operating guided interpretive backcountry mountain bike tours in Canyonlands National Park.

The National Park Service (NPS) issued a notice of the “prospectus” on Nov. 6 — details about the business opportunity may be seen online at www.nps.gov/subjects/concessions/cany03x-20.htm or by visiting fbo.gov and selecting the state of Utah from the menu.

The NPS press release on Nov. 6 said people interested in the business opportunity are encouraged to view, download, and/or print their own copies of the documents on the website. Those who retrieve the prospectus from the website should also notify Jennifer Parker at jennifer_parker@nps.gov to receive notifications of any future modifications, or ask questions, no later than 4 p.m. on Dec. 6. Inquiries will be responded to in writing.

Offers must be sent to Chief of Concessions, NPS, Intermountain Region, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado, 80228.

All offers must be received no later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6.
