Youth mountain bikers win at Jump Jam

Winners on Oct. 27 at the 13th Annual Moab Ho Down Mountain Bike Festival Jump Jam for the 15 and under age category were (pictured left to right) Kayden Hill of Moab, in third place; Bryce Santiago of Grand Junction, Colorado, in first place; and Kelvin Benedict of Denver, Colorado, in second place. Hosted by Chile Pepper Bike Shop, the Moab Ho Down Mountain Bike Festival held the Jump Jam at the bike park, where riders were able to show off their skills with a variety of jumps, including back flips, ET’s, can-can no footers, and supermans. Tracy Bentley, owner of Chile Pepper Bike Shop, said the most memorable part of the Jump Jam were the runs they put together on the jumps and their riding style on the bikes. “What they do is hard,” Bentley told the Moab Sun News. “And tiring, and they make it look so easy.” [Photo by Murice D.
