Quicksand Soup bluegrass band is performing on Wednesday, June 27, with special “mystery musical guests” to raise funds for the benefit of the families impacted by the June 12 fire in Moab. The fire consumed nine homes and affected an untold number of local residents. The performance, hosted by local community radio station KZMU and Moab Backyard Theater, is family-friendly and free to attend; donations will be deposited in the “Cinema Court Fire” fund at the Grand County Credit Union (also known as Desert Rivers Credit Union). The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Moab Backyard Theater, located behind Zax restaurant at 56 W. 100 South.
