Congressional candidate James Singer visits Moab

James Singer (right), a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, 3rd Congressional District, came to Moab on May 22. Here, he takes a moment to visit with long-time Moab locals Jim Jones (left) and Tom Warren. Singer teaches in the sociology department at Salt Lake Community College, and an adjunct professor in the Master of Arts of Community Leadership program at Westminster College where he teaches social change theory. He has been nominated and received many awards for teaching. James also is involved in community work, most notably as one of the co-founders of the Utah League of Native American Voters and the Utah Alliance for American Indian Education.
