BASE jumping community donates to first responders

Matt Lajeunesse (left) and the Moab BASE jumping community presented a check for $2,500 to Grand County EMS (GCEMS) shift supervisor Will Barnhardt (right) recently. In 2017, GCEMS responded to multiple BASE jumping accidents, including one with a critical patient that lasted over 12 hours at the scene of the incident. The Moab BASE jumping community made similar donations to Grand County Search and Rescue, the Bureau of Land Management and the National Park Service. [Photo courtesy Grand County EMS]
