The following day, the Red Devils had an offensive explosion right from the start, scoring 12 runs in the first inning en route to a 25-3 five-inning shellacking. The Red Devils notched 21 hits, only two of which were for extra bases, while also walking nine times and taking advantage of three North Summit errors. Williams pitched the first three innings with no hits and no walks, striking out eight batters. Freshman Tyler Lindsay pitched the final two innings, giving up three runs on two hits and five walks.

Jones batted in three runs, while Hansen, Meador, Denney and junior Brody Williams each batted in two. Meador scored three runs of his own; he and Jones each had a double.
