Grand County High School sophomore Carson Whitney was victorious in his match in the 106-pound weight class at the All-Star meet at Utah Valley University’s UCCU Center in Orem on Tuesday, Jan. 9, beating Beaver’s McCoy Norman by pin at the 1:47 mark of the first round. The Red Devils were also scheduled to compete at the Battle at the Pound in Gunnison on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 12 and 13.
