The Grand County Lady Red Devils defeated the Pinnacle Academy Lady Panthers 44-21 in Moab on Tuesday, Dec. 12, on the strength of 20 points from Veda Gritts and 14 points from Hannah Owen. On Thursday, Dec. 14, Grand traveled to Green River, where the Lady Pirates avenged a 44-40 loss to the Lady Red Devils in the season opener on Tuesday, Nov. 21, this time beating Grand 56-43. Against the Lady Pirates, Owen had 18 points and Gritts had 14.
The Lady Red Devils were scheduled to play at Monticello on Tuesday, Dec. 19, before traveling to the Las Vegas Invitational, which takes place from Wednesday, Dec. 20, through Saturday, Dec. 23.
