Murdock’s seventh-grade art classes submitted more than 50 entries to the Lions Club’s “A Celebration of Peace” contest. Zane’s entry won first place, followed by Abby in second place and Conor in third place. Honorable mentions went to Lori, Cion and Nathan.

The International Peace Poster contest takes place every year. The contest is an opportunity for local clubs to work with students in their communities to stress the importance of peace, tolerance and international understanding. The Moab Lions Club will honor the students at a special ceremony in December.
