GCHS to stage “The Wizard of Oz” next week

Grand County High School will stage its annual fall musical, “The Wizard of Oz,” from Thursday, Nov. 17, through Saturday, Nov. 19, starting at 7 p.m. each night.

Students in the main roles include Ariahna Groesbeck as Dorothy; Mackay Wakefield as the Cowardly Lion; Kenyon Birdwell as the Scarecrow; Aaron Hawks as the Tin Man; River Richards as the Wicked Witch of the West; and Sarah Day as Glinda, the Good Witch of the North.

More than 40 additional GCHS students will round out the supporting cast.

Admission is $8 for adults, and $5 for students and senior citizens.
