Helen M. Knight Elementary’s October Student of the Month is Rozlynn Ford.
Rozlynn is a second-grader in Mrs. Jill Tatton’s class. She is the daughter of Ruby Woodruff.
School officials said that Rozlynn was nominated for student of the month because of her diligence and endurance in reading.
“Her ability to improve her reading scores has been outstanding, which has also increased her confidence in all aspects of school,” they said. “Rozlynn has become a confident student in math, science and social studies, as well.”
Rozlynn is well liked by her peers and is also a friend to everyone around her, they said.
“She can see the importance of continued persistence in learning as it is showing in her grades, reading and outlook on school,” they said.
