Firecracker near the river
The Flame Skimmer Dragonfly was photographed near the Colorado River last week. It loves warm climates and is sometimes called the Firecracker Skimmer. Dragonflies are great control on the mosquito population and some skimmers have been known to swarm and migrate. They’re common visitors to Moab backyards and locations with water.
