Sharon Yvonne Scott (nee Goodspeed), born July 3, 1944, was called from this world on April 30, 2016. Sharon was a lifetime Utah resident, but spent parts of her adult life in California, Wyoming and Arizona.
She is survived by a son, John, and daughter-in-law Brenda Scott of Ballwin, Missouri; three grandchildren: Doug and Kolbi Ward, Danielle and Alex Kuebler and Taylor Scott; and four great-grandchildren: Levi and Paige Doyle-Barker, Sophia Kuebler and Lucille Ward.
Sharon is also survived by sisters Christine Shupe and Janet (Keith) Himmelberger; and brothers Joseph and Phillip Goodspeed. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Susie Harris Scott; brother-in-law Bob Scott; and sister-in-law Sherry and David Riding.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. Scott; son J.D. (Jake) Scott; her parents John (Jack) Goodspeed and Wilma Brown Goodspeed; and her brothers Curt, Robert and Tyrone Goodspeed. Also preceding her were her father-in-law Dale Scott and brothers-in-law Donald Scott and Bill Shupe.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, at 10:30 a.m. at Spanish Valley Mortuary in Moab; a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m.
