Former Utah First Lady Judy Bangerter, left, stands with son-in-law Mike Adams, grandson Zachary Adams of the Boy Scouts of America, The Christmas Box International Assistant Director Sherri Engar and Sherilyn Sowell, director of The Family Support Center at The Christmas Box House in Moab. The Family Support Center recently received about $3,000 in donations from Walmart shoppers in Salt Lake City, which the Boy Scouts of America volunteered to collect. Donated items included children’s pajamas, parent activity items, arts and crafts, children’s toys, kitchen items, a Blu Ray DVD player, coats, blankets, pillows and a variety of items needed to effectively run the center. Bangerter, the wife of the late Gov. Norman H. Bangerter, is one of the The Christmas Box International’s founding directors. Moab is home to the first Christmas Box House in the state, which Richard Paul Evans started in 1999.
