Legendary Hollywood star Maureen O’Hara appears in a scene from John Ford’s classic Western “Rio Grande,” which was filmed partly in the Moab area. O’Hara died last weekend at her home in Boise, Idaho, at the age of 95. According to a description in the Museum of Moab’s photo catalog, O’Hara was “known to complain of the desert heat and wind,” but her presence in the area during the film’s production was memorable to many local residents.
