USU-Moab adds accounting degree

Starting in the fall of 2015, students in Moab can earn a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. This degree prepares students for careers in a variety of finance-related jobs, and will be made available at a number of the university’s regional campuses throughout Utah.

“This is a wonderful addition to our range of degrees,” Utah State University-Moab Dean Dr. Steven Hawks said. “We’re always striving to provide students with more opportunities to carve their ideal career path, and adding accounting is another positive step. We expect a lot of people will benefit from it.”

USU-Moab accounting students are given a number of extracurricular opportunities in addition to their academic learning. For example, they may choose to participate in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which provides income tax preparation services to individuals with low to moderate incomes.
