Richard Keith Brock, March 26, 1937 – June 24, 2015

Richard Keith Brock, born March 26, 1937, passed through the veil on June 24, 2015.

He was born in Nephi, Utah, to Keith Alonzo Brock and Violet Manilla Ingram. Richard grew up in Green River, Utah, helping on the family farm and sharing great adventures with his brother and five sisters. He learned how to work hard and enjoy life.

He was sealed for time and all eternity to the love of his life, Erma Jean Hunt, in the Manti Temple on July 6, 1961. They enjoyed 54 happy years together. They were blessed with three beautiful children: one daughter and two sons.

Some of Richard’s greatest joys were family vacations, hunting, fishing, gardening and caring for his beautiful roses. He was an incredible neighbor; always willing to share his melons and tomatoes with everyone.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Richard was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and provided many hours of dedicated service. He loved to home-teach and was a wonderful Cub Scout leader.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Rosemary; his son Sheldon; and his granddaughter Sommer. He is survived by his brother Bill; his sisters Violet, Lois, Kitty and Kenna; his son Shawn (Donna); daughter Sandee (Brad) Burton; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He left a legacy of hard work, love and patience. He will be greatly missed. Richard’s life was celebrated at a funeral service on Monday, June 29, at the LDS Chapel. A viewing was held on Sunday, June 28, at Spanish Valley Mortuary and one hour prior to the funeral service at the LDS Chapel.
