Preston Packard shows off his Kindergarten Literacy Bag from the Moab Lions Club. Although graduation marked the final day of class for 128 Moab kindergarten students, learning can continue through the summer with the contents of the Kindergarten Literacy Bags that each child received from the Lions Club. Each bag contains a book that students can learn to read, as well as a pencil and crayons and journals to write and draw in, a laminated alphabet chart with a dry-erase marker and eraser, and a packet of flashcards. The Moab Lions purchased the bags and enclosed items with additional support from The Times-Independent and TopCopy Books. Members of the Lions Club offer congratulations on a successful year of kindergarten to the children, their parents and teachers.
