USU to hold open house on education programs

If you’re considering a career in education, or you’re already a teacher, Utah State University – Moab has the resources you need.

To highlight the many education-related degrees and programs that are available locally, the university will be holding an informational open house on Wednesday, March 4 from 4 to 7 p.m.

The open house will be held at USU-Moab, which is located at 125 W. 200 South. The informational open house will provide information on bachelor’s degrees for those interested in the teaching profession, as well as details about graduate and doctoral degrees, professional educational licensures, endorsements and other programs for current teachers.

“USU is committed to providing a premier education from the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services to our local community,” USU-Moab Dean Steve Hawks said. “We are excited to help the local school district in growing their own teachers right here in Moab.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with an adviser; they can also learn how to get admitted and find out about special scholarship opportunities.
