Treat that special someone to a Singing Valentine

Do you want to surprise that special person in your life?

If so, the Valley Voices Barbershop Chorus is here to help.

The Valley Voices will offer Singing Valentines on Friday, Feb. 13, in Moab and Spanish Valley. For $10, each recipient will be serenaded with two songs; they will also receive a carnation, along with a message from the giver.

Valley Voices have been offering Singing Valentines for 32 years, and over 800 valentines have been presented in that time. The cost has remained the same.

The Valley Voices are a women’s chorus, singing a cappella, four-part harmony in the Barbershop style over the last 37 years.

In that time, the chorus has entertained visitors, performed at weddings, funerals and other special occasions, visited the Canyonlands Care Center, performed for Veterans’ Day ceremonies, led the annual Christmas tree lighting carols and performed at Christmas craft fairs.

If you would like to give a Singing Valentine to that special someone, please contact Mary Mayberry at 435-259-5767. Reservations are limited and the deadline is 5 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11.

The chorus is available for performances. Rehearsals are held each Monday evening, at 6:30 p.m.

If you are interested in joining the Valley Voices chorus, or in scheduling a performance, call Mayberry at the number listed above.
