The Moab City Recreation Department and the BEACON Afterschool Program will host the 2015 Moab Gear Trader Dodgeball Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Grand County High School gym, 264 S. 400 East. Moab City Recreation Director Chad Wright has the following advice for participants: Gather 6-10 of your friends, coworkers or frenemies; choose a team name and costumes that will instill fear (or laughter) and register online by Saturday, Jan. 10. Finally, he said, practice — or don’t, if you’re that good already. Registration costs $80 for every six- to 10-person team; discounts are available for nonprofit groups and teen teams.
